It is both an honor and pleasure for me to greet you on behalf of the IKA – Armenia to Yerevan, capital of Armenia, to participate in the 14th World Kubota Cup Championship which will be held on July 25, 26, 2009.
We are extremely proud that we have been entrusted to organize such an important competition and will spare neither effort nor expense for the competition to be held smoothly and all the participants be satisfied.
I would also like to mention that this Championship is an outstanding one, as for the first time the Founder and Chairman of International Karate Association, Japanese Grand Master 10th dan, Soke Takayuki Kubota will arrive in Armenia and will hold a useful seminar for all the participants just before the Championships.

General Information
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Republics of former Soviet Union do not have to receive entry visas (except Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia). The required travel document for entry is a national passport.
All other countries have to receive entry visas. They can even get the visas in Zvartnots airport in Yerevan just after arriving, and this will cost 60 $ per person. This service will be organized by the Official Travel Agency to make your work easy.
You are required to pay tax of 35 $ per person during the departure according to RA Legislation.

TRANSPORTATION
We suggest you to turn to the Official Travel Agency to get the tickets in special prices by the following companies: AEROFLOT, AUSTRIAN AIRLINES, LUFTHANSA, CSA, AIR FRANCE, BMI, AIR BALTIC and ARMAVIA.
Regular transfer upon arrival and departure from Yerevan Zvartnots Airport will be organized for the teams. The participating countries have to book this with entry in advance.

Transfer upon arrival to and departure from Yerevan Airport will be organized for the teams against payment of 15 $ per person according to the information provided in the Registration form.
TRANSPORT TO/FROM HOTELS-SPORT HALL
The buses will be provided to/ from hotels-sport hall for three days: on July 24 for participating in the Seminar, July 25, 26 for participating in the Championships. This will cost you $ 25 per person.
On July 27 a special tour (full day) will be organized for the participants of the Championships to the historical places of Armenia: Garni, Geghard and Lake Sevan, where you can find good conveniences for swimming and aqua park. During the tour you can eat twice: the Armenian barbeque in Garni, Geghard and fried fish in Sevan. We are sure you will enjoy your tour greatly.
This tour will cost you 80 $ per person.
ACCOMMODATION
The official hotels of the Championships are located in the center of Yerevan and have all modern conveniences. Special prices have been offered for hotels for championship participants, which include taxes and breakfast. The reservation in the hotels designated by the organizations must be done only through the Official Travel Agency.
The deadline is May 06, 2009. Later than the above mentioned date the prices for accommodation are eligible to change up to normal price.

REGISTRATION OF DELEGATION
The registration for all athletes and officials will take place in the hotel Ani Plaza on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 between 10:00 and 16:00. Each delegation must bring its national anthem and two national flags.
SECRETARIAT
All delegations are kindly requested to fill in the attached Registration and Competition Entry forms and return them to the Organizing Committee within the set time frames.
TRAINING
The organizers will provide Karate teams, which make the relevant application in time, with training facilities prior to the days of Championships in sport-halls of the IKA Armenia. The applications must be received before the 6th of May, 2009 via-email: info@karate.am and afkarate@mail.ru
Training area and transport from those training participants will be arranged at a nominal price. Transport will only be available from the official hotels.
FAREWELL PARTY
Party participants will get information about Farewell on Info desk during the Championships.
REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND FOR SEMINAR
- The seminar which will be held by the 10th dan Soke Kubota will cost 40 $ per person
- World Championships fees for each entry is as follows below:
- Each individual entry - 40 $
- Each Individual /two entries/- 60 $
- Each individual /three entries/ - 90 $
- Team events - 100 $
